The Searle Company Limited has announced the appointment of Mr Arshad Anis as Chairman of its Board of Directors, with immediate effect. Mr Anis succeeds Mr Adnan Asdar Ali, the company said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) following a board meeting held on the 14th of January, 2026.
The board also appointed Mr Zubair Razak Pawla as a member of the Audit Committee, replacing Mr Ali. The company stated that the changes do not constitute material or price-sensitive information affecting the market value of its shares.
The appointment follows a leadership restructuring last year, when Mr Tahir Ahmed was named Chief Executive Officer in July 2025, following the retirement of Syed Nadeem Ahmed.
Founded in 1965 and later converted into a public limited company, Searle is engaged in the manufacture and sale of pharmaceutical, consumer health and nutritional products. It operates as a subsidiary of International Brands (Private) Limited.
The company has continued to expand its footprint, notably in 2023, when it secured regulatory approval and registered its manufacturing facility with the United Arab Emirates’ health authorities, marking a key step in its international expansion.
The latest board changes reflect Searle’s efforts to strengthen corporate governance and strategic oversight as it navigates domestic and global markets.
