Jazz GameNow, Pakistan’s premier gaming platform, powered Takedown 2025 – one of the country’s most anticipated esports events – which energized Lahore from October 24 to 26 at the Nishtar Complex, Gaddafi Stadium.
With a record prize pool of PKR 2.5 million, Takedown 2025 was headlined by Tekken 8, bringing together the nation’s best players in a high-octane contest. The tournament also featured Fatal Fury matchups, cosplay walks, and exclusive fan giveaways, ensuring three days packed with non-stop action and entertainment.
From the adrenaline of the Tekken 8 pools on the opening day to the Top 128 battles and Fatal Fury rounds on day two, and culminating in the Tekken 8 Top 8 grand finale on the closing day, the event proved to be a true festival of gaming culture. Special appearances by global icons Arslan Ash and Atif Butt further solidified Pakistan’s status as an emerging powerhouse in world esports.
Commenting on the partnership, Syed Arsalan Qamar, Head of Gaming at Jazz, said: “At Jazz GameNow, our mission has always been to empower and celebrate the thriving gaming community in Pakistan. Partnering with Baaz for Takedown 2025 was another step toward creating meaningful opportunities for local talent to compete, connect, and shine on a larger stage. Esports is no longer just about gaming; it’s about fostering creativity, teamwork, and digital entrepreneurship, and we’re proud to be driving that evolution in Pakistan’s gaming ecosystem.”
GameNow continues to drive Pakistan’s esports revolution through tournaments, leaderboards, hyper-casual titles, vouchers, and streaming services that are already enjoyed by millions nationwide. Building on its landmark collaboration with Garena Free Fire in 2023 to launch Pakistan’s first dedicated esports league, and its 2025 partnership with Free Fire to power the country’s esports future, GameNow is shaping an ecosystem where gaming is not just entertainment but a thriving culture and a pathway to digital opportunity for the youth.
