[Karachi: October 13, 2019] Hamid Ismail Foundation has come up with the initiative of providing clean drinking water to the residents of underprivileged areas in Karachi. They initially installed two water treatment units, reverse osmosis (RO) plants in the densely populated Shanti Nagar of the metropolis. They have now installed another RO plant at Govt. Boys and Girls Primary School in Shanti Nagar, Karachi.
Hamid Ismail Foundation Inaugurated the second RO Plant in Shanti Nagar. The philanthropic organization has been at the forefront of creating sustainable change to improve the well-being of local communities and help improve the quality of life for people.
Speaking at the event, the founder Hamid Ismail said,
“It’s heartbreaking to think that people are still deprived of basic necessities like clean drinking water in these parts of the city. Being one of the most affected countries by an acute water shortage, our immediate mission has to be to provide this basic survival need to our people.”
The not-for-profit organization also inaugurated the Hamid Ismail Street at Shanti Nagar; where they had worked on its cleanliness, installed new lights, and painted the houses; bringing life to the state of the street. There was a distribution of gift boxes and school uniforms to the students at the ceremony as well.
